Grants commission to any one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the Shire or City of Edinburgh to take the Oath of William Molle of Mains the acting Trustee of the defunct before designed and to report. (signed) - Rob Shortreed

 

At Edinburgh the Twenty seventh day of May Eighteen hundred and Twenty Four years.

 

In presence of Robert Cadell Esquire one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Edinburgh appeared William Molle of Maines, Writer to the Signet, first acting Trustee and Executor nominate of the said deceased Colonel Stephen Bromfield of Hassington Mains, who being solemnly sworn and examined depones that the said Stephen Bromfield died at Kelso upon the Thirty first day of May Eighteen hundred and Twenty three years, and that the deponent has entered upon the possession and management of the deceased's personal Estate as first acting Trustee and Executor nominated by him in a Trust Disposition and Deed of Settlement executed by him upon the Eighteenth day of May Eighteen Hundred  and twenty one and partial alteration thereof thereto subjoined dated the Tenth day of August Eighteen hundred and Twenty two, both registered in the Books of Council and Session on the Fourteenth day of June Eighteen hundred and twenty three.*  That the deponent does not know of any other Settlement or writing relative to the disposal of the deceased's personal Estate or Effects;  That the above Inventory each page of which is signed by the deponent and the said magistrate as relative hereto, is a full and true Inventory of all the personal or moveable Estate and Effects of the said deceased Colonel Stephen Bromfield wheresoever situated known to be existing and belonging or due to him beneficially at the time of his death, and that the value of the said estate situated in Scotland is of the value of Four Thousand five hundred and eighty pounds five shillings sterling and under the value of Five Thousand Pounds, all which is truth as the deponent shall answer to God.  (signed) William Molle, Rob Cadell, J.P.
